LEAGUES
The first half of the season
begins around the beginning of November and ends mid-January.
The second half begins mid-January and ends mid-March. Many Leagues
(Events) alternate starting times each week as indicated. The
chair or coordinator for each event can be found under
MCC Committees.
Further information can be found in "Along the Hog Line" or on
club bulletin boards.

Men's
Events
Mansfield«
Tuesday
through Thursday, entire season
Most male club members participate in this event. Team point
limit is 43. Starting times vary by night. There are up to
80 participating teams divided into six shifts. Each team
plays the other teams in its shift at least once (usually). The
Mansfield Event championship playoff is made of 28 teams
selected from all shifts. The Mansfield Event champion and
runner-up teams are awarded a special pin. All playoff team
members receive participation pins.

6:30-8:30 Roster/Schedule
Botham
Mondays, alternates 6:30/8:30 PM start time, first half of the
season
The primary intent of this event is to give men a second night
to curl during the week. There is no team point limit.
2007-2008 Schedule
Women’s
Events
Women members have many opportunities for
round-robin curling and other events. Unless noted, skips
select their teams by draft and play with different members
each half of the season. This allows women to change nights
during the second half or play on the same night, but with a
different team.
Toories«
Mondays, 4:30 PM, separate events, first and second half
Teams take turns preparing dinner for the league after each
game.
President's Cup
Tuesdays, 10:00 AM, entire season
Unlimited point teams are put together by individual skips.
The winners of this event are invited to play in the Badger
Women's Bonspiel during the following curling season.
Strobel«
Tuesdays, alternates 6:30/8:30 PM start time, first half of
the season
Ceilidh«
Tuesdays, alternates 6:30/8:30 PM start time, second half of
the season
V.I.C.E.«
Thursdays, alternates 7:00/9:00 PM, entire season
The Very Important Curling Event team point limit is 44 and
teams are put together by individual skips. The winners are
invited to play in the Badger Women's Bonspiel during the
following curling season.
Open
Events
"Open" indicates any combination of men or
women on a team.
Daniels
Sunday
evenings, first half of the season
Evolving, new event. Team point limit is 50 in 2007.
McNaughton«
Sundays evenings, 2nd half of the season
The McNaughton Event provides an opportunity for thirds,
seconds and leads to curl at a higher playing position than
they normally play. Round-robin skips are not allowed to
participate. The team point limit is in the low 30's.
Liefer
Mondays, alternates 6:30/8:30 PM start time, first half of the
season
Team point limit is 56.
2007-2008 Schedule
Waddell
Mondays, alternates 6:30/8:30 PM start time, second half of
the season
Entry is restricted to teams that have no more than two
members who curled together in first half Solheim or Botham
Events. There is no team point limit.
Stevenson
Mondays, alternates 6:30/8:30 PM start time, second half of
the season
Team point limit is 56.
Solheim
Wednesdays, 8:30 PM during the first half of the season
There is no team point limit. Ten end games will be played.
The primary intent is to give teams participating in playdown
competitions an opportunity to play as a team.
2007-2008 Schedule
Mixed
Events
"Mixed" indicates two men and two women on a
team. The sexes alternate positions on the team. Couples or
individuals sign up and teams are formed by the event chairs.
The 8:30 time slot is used if more than 12 teams curl.
